6,727 Kilograms of Gold Ore Extracted from Cambodian Mine

Mondulkiri: Keo Seima District, Mondulkiri Province - Renaissance Minerals Cambodia Limited, a subsidiary of the Australia-listed Emerald Resources NL, has successfully extracted and refined approximately 6,727 kilograms of gold ore from its licensed commercial gold mine. Located in Mondulkiri province's Keo Seima district, the mine has marked a significant milestone in Cambodia's gold mining industry.

In a report released on Sunday, the Ministry of Mines and Energy revealed that Renaissance Minerals Cambodia Limited has refined a total of 6,727.70 kilograms of gold ore, ensuring a high-quality output of 90 percent. As part of its operations, the company has paid a total of US$10.2 million as royalties, thereby contributing to the national budget revenue source.

The ministry underscored that the operation of Renaissance Minerals Cambodia Limited has not only provided a boost to the national economy but has also set new benchmarks for responsible mining and sustainable development. The company's achievements serve as a testament to the Royal Government's commitment to creating an investment-friendly environment that attracts foreign investment while adhering to international standards of environmental and social responsibility.

Since commencing commercial production in June 2021, Renaissance Minerals Cambodia Limited has become the first commercial gold producer in the Kingdom. With plans to refine approximately three tonnes of gold ore each year during the initial eight years of the mine's operation, the company aims to sustain a steady contribution to the gold mining industry in Cambodia.
